NOTIFICATION
The 7th January, 2021
No.PWD-BR307/33/2020-1BR3 I/127781/2021.- Whereas it appears to the Government of Punjab
that the land is required in the Jurisdiction of Punjab Government, at public expense, for public purpose, namely,
for the construction of New BG Railway Line from Bhanupali to Bilaspur-Beri. It is hereby notified that land in
the area specified below is likely to be required for the above purpose.
This notification is made under the provisions of Section 11(1) of The Right to Fair Compensation
and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013, to all whom it may
concern.
The Social Impact Assessment Study for these Villages has already been done for the same project.
In exercise of the powers conferred by aforesaid Section, the Government of Punjab is pleased to
authorize the officer for the time being engaged in the undertaking with their servants and workmen to enter
upon and survey any land in the said area and do all other acts required or permitted by that section.
Under Section 11(4) of the Act, no person shall make any transaction or cause any transaction of land
i.e. sale/purchase, etc., or create any encumbrances on such land from the date of publication of this notification
without prior approval of the Collector.
Objections to the acquisition if any, may be filed by the persons interested within 60 (sixty days) from
the date of publication of this notification as provided under Section 15 of the Act before Sub Divisional Magistrate
cum Land Acquisition Collector, Sri Anandpur Sahib, District Rupnagar regarding the issues to :
(a)
The area and suitability of land proposed to be acquired.
(b)
Justification offered for Public purpose.
(c)
The findings of the Social Impact Assessment report.

Plans of the land can be inspected in the office of the Sub Divisional Magistrate cum Land Acquisition
Collector Sri Anandpur Sahib, District Rupnagar on any working day during the working hours.
