Approval is also given for the merger of Municipal Election office with the Directorate of Local
Government, Punjab.

For 17 vacant posts of Clerks in the Directorate, approval is given to rename them as follows:-
a)
6 posts as Legal Clerk.
b)
5 posts as Clerk(IT).
c)
6 posts as Accounts Clerk.

The seniority and pay scales of Clerk (IT), Accounts Clerks and Legal Clerks will be same and they will
be promoted to the post of Assistant as per common seniority.
