NOTIFICATION

The 12th February, 2021

No.6/22/2017-IAS(3)/72.-In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 21 of the Code of Criminal

Procedure, 1973, (Central Act No. 2 of 1974), the Governor of Punjab is hereby pleased to authorize the

Deputy Commissioners in the State of Punjab to appoint the Gazetted Officers in the State of Punjab, drawing

the grade pay of Rs. 5000 or above as an Executive Magistrate to be known as Special Executive Magistrate for

maintenance of law and order with regard to the General/Bye Elections of Municipal Corporation, Municipal

Councils and Nagar Panchayats in the State of Punjab, with immediate effect till completion of election process.
