PRELIMINARY NOTIFICATION

The 19th May, 2021

No. 6/5/2016-PJ(5)/413.-Whereas it appears to the appropriate Government that a total of 13.83

Hectares land is required in the Trehti, Kot Teeka Shahpurkandi, Kot Teeka Maira, Kot Teeka Khas

and Thara Jhikla Teeka Matti villages, Dharkalan Tehsil, Pathankot District for public purpose, namely

for Reservoir area of Shahpurkandi Dam Project up to Elevation level 406.0 mtr (Left out area).

Social Impact Assessment Study has been exempted by Government of Punjab vide Endst No. 6/5/2016-PJ (5)/

153 dated 05.03.2021 for acquisition of this land.

Sub Divisional Magistrate Dharkalan-cum-Land Acquisition Collector-cum-Deputy Commissioner,

Rehabilitation and Resettlement, Ranjit Sagar Dam/Shahpurkandi Dam Project is appointed as Administrator

for the purpose of Rehabilitation and Resettlement of the affected families. Therefore, it is notified that for the

above mentioned project, a piece of land measuring 13.83 hectares of standard measurements, situated in

villages Trehti, Kot Teeka Shahpurkandi, Kot Teeka Maira, Kot Teeka Khas and Thara Jhikla Teeka

Matti, Tehsil Dharkalan, Distrcit Pathankot, is under acquisition, the detail of which is described, as below :-

This Notification is made under the provisions of section 11 (1) of the Right to Fair Compensation and

Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 (30 of 2013), to all whom it may

concern.

The plan of the land may be inspected in the office of the Collector and Executive Engineer, Power

House No. 1 & Hydel Channel Division, Shahpurkandi Dam Project on any working day during the working

hours.

The Government is pleased to authorize Land Acquisition Collector-cum-Deputy Commissioner,

Rehabilitation and Resettlement, Ranjit Sagar Dam/Shahpurkandi Dam Project and his staff/any other officer or

staff as authorized by the Collector to enter upon and survey land, take level of any land, dig or bore into the sub-

soil and do all other acts required for the proper execution of their work as provided and specified in section 12

of the said Act.

Under Section 11 (4) of the Act, no person shall make any transaction or cause of any transaction of

land i.e sale/purchase etc., or create any encumbrances on such land from the date of publication of such

notification without prior approval of the Collector.

Objections to the acquisition, if any, may be filed by the person interested within 60 days (sixty days)

from the date of publication of this notification as provided under section 15 of the Act before Collector.
