NOTIFICATION

The 20th May, 2021

No. 03/19/2020-1lg3/990.-Whereas it appears to the appropriate Government that land/lands mentioned

hereunder is/are required to be taken by the Government at Public expenses, for public purpose namely for the

Construction of Road Over Bridge in lieu of Railway Crossing No.151-C on Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor

(EDFC). It is hereby notified that the land described below in the specification is likely to be acquired for the

above purpose in the area of Mandi Gobindgarh.

And whereas, this notification is made under the provision of the sub-section 1 of Section 11 of the Right

to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 for the

information/ concern of General Public. The Social Impact Assessment (SIA) Study of the land/lands to be

acquired has already been carried out as per provisions of Section 4 of the Act ibid. The report has been

disclosed/made available to the people and their representatives in accordance with the provisions of Section 6

of The Right To Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act

2013.

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred under Section 12 of the Right to Fair Compensation

and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013, the appropriate government

is pleased to authorize the Land Acquisition Collector-cum-SDM Amloh (Fatehgarh Sahib) with his servants

and workmen to enter upon and survey the land in the said locality and to perform all other acts required or

permitted in accordance with the provision of the said section. The Additional Deputy Commissioner (General)

Fatehgarh Sahib has been notified as the Administrator for Rehabilitation and Resettlement for the said purpose

in accordance with the provisions of Section 43 of the Act ibid.

Any person interested in and having any objection to the acquisition of said land may, within sixty days

from the date of publication of this notification, file an objection in writing before the Collector of Fatehgarh

Sahib regarding the issues related to : (a) The area and suitability of land proposed to be acquired (b) Justification

offered for public purpose. (c) The findings of the Social Impact Assessment Report as provided under Section

15 of Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition. Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act,

2013.

No person shall make any transaction or cause any transaction of land specified in the preliminary

notification or create any encumbrances on such land from the date of publication of such notification till such

times as the proceedings under this chapter are completed.

Plan of the land are available for inspection in the office of the Executive Officer, Municipal Council,

Mandi Gobindgarh, Executive Engineer PWD(B&R) Sirhind and Land Acquisition Collector-cum-SDM Amloh.
