NOTIFICATION

The 27th May, 2021

No. 13/246/2012-LR-2(9)/5360.-In pursuance of the directions issued by Hon'ble Punjab and Haryana

High Court vide order dated 20-5-2015 in LPA No. 35 of 2012 titled as 'The Punjab Border Kisaan Welfare

Society Vs. Union of India and Ors.' and on the recommendations of Hon'ble Court as conveyed by Registrar

General, High Court of Punjab and Haryana, Chandigarh vide letter No. 202 Gaz-1/VI.E. 34 dated 25-02-2016,

Hon'ble Sh. Darbari Lal, Additional District & Session Judge, Tarn Taran was nominated to preside over this

Special Tribunal for the purpose of determination of questions formulated in order dated 18-3-2015 and order

dated 20-5-2015 of Hon'ble High Court and also to decide any other allied, relevant or related issue that may

arise or raised by the parties. Later vide letter No. 312 Gaz-1/VI.Z.18 dated 21-4-2017 of Registrar General,

Punjab and Haryana High Court, Chandigarh, Hon'ble Sh. Bishan Saroop, Additional District & Session Judge,

Ludhiana was appointed as Presiding Officer of Special Tribunal, Tarn Taran in place of Hon'ble Sh. Darbari

Lal, Additional District & Session Judge, Tarn Taran (since transferred).

Now whereas Registrar General, High Court of Punjab and Haryana, Chandigarh has conveyed vide

their Letter No. 198 Gaz-1/VI.Z. 18 dated 8-4-2021 that Hon'ble Sh. Kawaljit Singh, Additional District &

Session Judge, Sri Muktsar Sahib has been appointed as presiding officer, Special Tribunal Tarn Taran in place

of Hon'ble Sh. Bishan Saroop, Additional District & Session Judge (since transferred).

Therefore, in partial modification of notification No. 13/246/2012-LR-5/9671 dated 5-5-2017, Sh. Kawaljit

Singh, Additional District & Session Judge, Sri Muktsar Sahib is nominated as Presiding Officer of Special

Tribunal, Tarn Taran w.e.f the date the Hon'ble Judge assumed charge as such.
