NOTIFICATION

No.PWD-BR307/24/2020-1BR3 I/201127/2021(1-4).-Whereas Preliminary Notification no. PWD-
BR307/24/2020 - 1 BR 3/68893/2020 dated 27 August, 2020 was issued under section 11 of “The Right to Fair
Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation & Resettlement Act, 2013” for acquisition
of Land for the public purpose namely “For the Construction of Road Over Bridge in lieu of Railway Crossing
No. C-167 on Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor (EDFC)”. This Notification was published in two daily
newspaper “The Tribune” and in Punjabi Tribune.
Whereas, Governor of Punjab is satisfied that the land specified below is needed by the Government at
public expenses for public purpose namely “For the Construction of Road Over Bridge in lieu of Railway
Crossing No. C-167 on Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor (EDFC).” In this connection, based on the census
survey of affected families, a Rehabilitation and Resettlement scheme was prepared as per provisions of
Section 16 of the said Act, by the Administrator-cum-Additional Deputy Commissioner (General), Ludhiana
which was reviewed by the Collector Land Acquisition-cum-Sub Divisional Magistrate, Ludhiana (East) as per
provisions of the section-17 of the act.
Whereas, Commissioner, Rehabilitation and Resettlement has approved the R&R scheme on dated 28.04.2021
and forwarded the said report to be made available to the Public and uploaded on the website of Punjab
Government as per Section 18 of the said act. The summary of Rehabilitation and Resettlement scheme includes
benefits such as choice of annuity at the lump sum rate of Rs. 5,00,000/- to each affected family, Resettlement
Allowance of Rs. 50,000/-.
This declaration is made under the provisions of Section 19 of “The Right to Fair Compensation
and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013.”
And under the provisions of Section 21 of “The Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land

Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013” Public notice is made to whom it may concern that the
Government intends to take possession of the Land, and that claims to compensation and Rehabilitation and
Resettlement for all interest in such land along with their objections, if any, be made to the Land Acquisition
Collector, Ludhiana (East).
