NOTIFICATION
The 5th August, 2021
No. I/223839/2021.- The Governor of Punjab is pleased to make the following policy further to amend
the Punjab News Web Channel Policy, 2021, namely:-
POLICY
1.
(1)
This policy may be called the Punjab News Web Channel (First Amendment), Policy, 2021.
(2)
This policy shall come into force on and with effect from its publication in the Official Gazette.
2.
In the Punjab News Web Channel Policy, 2021, in para 3, for clauses (d), (f) and (j), the following shall
be substituted, namely:-
"(d)
the Channel should have continuously operated under the same name for a minimum period of two
years:
Provided that where the News Web Channel has achieved the minimum criteria of five lakh subscribers
before having continuously operated under the same name for a period of two years, the requirement of having
operated for a minimum period of two years may be relaxed;
(f)
the Channel has to submit the facebook analytics and youtube analytics report for a period of six months
before the date of application:
Provided that where the News Web Channel has achieved the minimum criteria of five lakh subscribers
before having continuously operated under the same name for a period of one year, the requirement of submission
of facebook analytics and youtube analytics report for a period of six months before the date of application may
be relaxed to a period equivalent to fifty percent of the period of operation or three months, whichever is higher;
(j)
the Channel should have filed Income Tax Returns for at least one year before filling of the application
for empanelment and shall attach copies thereof with the application:
