NOTIFICATION

The 6th August, 2021

No. 19/64/2008 ET.2(6)/7712.-The Punjab Traders Board was constituted vide Government

Notification No. 19/64/2008ET(6)/4028A dated 07.04.2021. Shri Bhupinder Singh, #19-A, Bhai Randhir Singh

Nagar, Ludhiana has been appointed as Senior Vice Chairman of Punjab Traders Board vide Government

Notification No. 19/64/2008ET(6)/4216 dated 15.04.2021. The terms and conditions etc. will be as follows:-

i).

Tenure of Office:- There is no fixed tenure of the appointment of non-official Sr. Vice Chairperson

unless otherwise state in the appointment letter/notification, shall be of two years. A person appointed as Senior

Vice Chairperson can be removed at any time. He can also resign on his own volition.

ii)

Honorarium:- The Senior Vice-Chairperson will be paid an honorarium of Rs. 22500/- per mensem.

iii)

Travelling Allowance:- For journeys and halts in connection with the affairs of Department, Senior

Vice Chairperson may draw travelling and daily allowance at rates/class admissible to a Grade 'A' officer of the

Government of Punjab in the pay band and Grade pay of Rs. 15600-39100+7400(grade pay). No air travel is

admissible.

iv)

House Rent Allowance:- The non official Senior Vice Chairperson will be provided with an unfurnished

house for which the monthly rent should not exceed Rs. 22,500/- p.m. in Chandigarh, S.A.S Nagar (Mohali),

Ludhiana, Jalandhar and Amritsar and elsewhere it will be Rs. 13000/- per month. If the Senior Vice Chairperson

occupies his own house, he may be paid rent as assessed by the P.W.D., subject to a ceiling of Rs. 22,500/- or

13000/- as the case may be.

v)

Telephone facilities:- The Senior Vice Chairperson shall be allowed to use a phone/mobile for which

monthly bill not exceeding Rs. 2000/- will be paid by the office of State Tax Commissioner. The mobile set will,

however be purchased by Senior vice Chairperson of his own.

vi)

Conveyance:- The Senior Vice Chairperson will not be provided with a staff car. However, he shall

be paid travel charges @Rs. 15 per km subject to a maximum limit of 1500 km per month.

In case the Senior Vice Chairperson does not possess his own vehicle, the office of State Tax

Commissioner will provide him a car by hiring it from market as per Finance Department's instructions no. 8/3/

2014-5F.B.1/360108/1 dated 04.12.2014 which are also applicable to the public sector undertakings, semi-

government undertakings, tribunals, societies etc. But the usage of the hired vehicle will be limited to 1500 kms

per month.

If the decision of the undertaking is to provide a car either from the existing fleet or by hiring from the

market, the Senior Vice Chairperson shall not be entitled to any Travelling Allowance.

vii)

Fixed Sumptuary Allowance:- The Senior Vice Chairperson will be paid a fixed monthly sumptuary

Allowance of Rs. 900/-.

viii)

Staff:- The Senior Vice Chairperson will be provided an appropriate office with the minimum staff of

one Personal Assistant/clerk & one peon by the office of State Tax Commissioner.

ix)

Leave:- The Senior Vice Chairperson shall be governed under the leave rules framed by the Department

for its employees provided that Senior Vice Chairperson should take the leave of absence from the Chairperson

and keep him informed of his tour programmes in advance.

x)

No other allowances or facilities shall be admissible or be provided.

This issues in accordance with the instructions dated 26.12.2018 and 21.04.2020 issued by the DPED,

Department of Finance, as per advise/concurrence of the Finance Department conveyed vide their ID No.-FD

No.FD-FP-207(TRCN)/9/2021/1FP2/I/215210/2021 dated 22-07-2021.
