NOTIFICATION

The 26th July, 2022

No. 18/05/2022-5Hg2/1926.-Whereas the Government of Punjab, Department of Housing and Urban

Development has issued notifications from time to time determining the rates of External Development Charges

(EDC) chargeable from Promoter/Developers towards Licensed Colonies and approved Mega Housing Projects/

Stand Alone Projects. These External Development Charges (EDC) are being collected by Local Urban Planning

& Development Authorities on behalf of the Government and are utilized for repair/maintenance/strengthening

of existing infrastructure or for providing proposed infrastructure.

Since the Special Urban Development Authorities are only the custodian of Government money collected

toward External Development Charges, therefore, the Special Urban Development Authorities shall not utilize

EDC funds without specific orders of the Government on each case.
