PUNJAB STATE ELECTRICITY REGULATORY COMMISSION

NOTIFICATION

The 2nd June, 2023

No. PSERC/Secy/Regu. 176 .-In exercise of the power conferred on it by section 181 (2)read with

section 61 and 62 of the Electricity Act 2003 (36 of 2003) and all other powers enabling the Commission in this

behalf ,the Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission hereby makes the following Regulations to amend

the Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission (Terms and Conditions for Determination of Generation,

Transmission, Wheeling and Retail Supply Tariff, Regulations, 2022 including the first amendment thereof

(hereinafter referred as “the Principal Regulations”) namely:-

Short Title and Commencement:

These Regulations may be called the"Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission (Terms and

Conditions for Determination of Generation, Transmission, Wheeling and Retail Supply Tariff) (2nd

Amendment) Regulations, 2023:-

These Regulations shall come into force from the date of their notification in the official gazette of

the State.

Amendment in Regulation 47 of the Principal Regulations- FUEL COST ADJUSTMENT(FCA)

Regulation 47 of the Principal Regulations shall be substituted as under:

“47. FUEL AND POWER PURCHASE ADJUSTMENT SURCHARGE” (FPPAS)

Any change in fuel cost, power purchase cost and transmission charges with reference to cost of supply approved

by the Commission shall be calculated and billed to the consumers according to the FPPAS formula and in the

manner as specified in the PSERC (Conduct of Business) Regulations, 2005as amended from time to time.”
