NOTIFICATION

The 6th October, 2023

No. 08/05/2023-4H1/2208.- In order to give relief to the existing industry operating in Residential Zone

(within & outside MC) of Master Plan Ludhiana due to the hardship being faced by these industrialists, the

Governor of Punjab exercising the power vested under Section 178 of Punjab Regional and Town Planning and

Development Act, 1995 and all other powers enabling him in this behalf, is pleased to exempt these existing

industries from the provisions of Section 79 of the Punjab Regional and Town Planning and Development Act,

1995 to the extent of three years from 11.09.2023 i.e. upto 10.09.2026. These existing industries shall continue

to operate in Residential Zone (withing & outside MC) of Master Plan Ludhiana for further three years i.e. from

11.09.2023 to 10.09.2026 subject to the fulfillment of Punjab Pollution Control Board (PPCB) norms and NOC

from PPCB.
