PUNJAB WATER REGULATION AND DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY

NOTIFICATION

The 18th October, 2023

No. 75340: PWRDA-PWRD0GENL/37/2021-PWRDA-BR/955.–In exercise of the powers conferred

by Section 15(2) of the Punjab Water Resources (Management and Regulation) Act, 2020 and all other powers

enabling it in this behalf, the Punjab Water Regulation and Development Authority hereby issues the following

amendment to the Punjab Groundwater Extraction and Conservation Directions, 2023 issued by notification no.

75340/PWRDA-PWRD0GENL/37/2021-PWRDA-BR/418 dated 27.01.2023.

THIRD AMENDMENT

In the Punjab Groundwater Extraction and Conservation Directions, 2023:

1.

In Chapter 4

(a)

In paragraph 4.8,in first paragraph of sub-paragraph D, the words ‘within three months of the date

of permission’ wherever occurring be deleted.

(b)

In paragraph 4.8, in second paragraph of sub-paragraph D, for the words ‘of three months from the

date of permission’ the words ‘as stipulated by the Authority in paragraph 5.1 C’ be substituted.

2.

In Chapter 5 in paragraph 5.1, for sub-paragraph C, the following shall be substituted:

‘A User shall install the required water meters within such time period as stipulated by the Authority.’

3.

This amendment shall be deemed to have come into force on and with effect from the 1st day of

February, 2023.
