NOTIFICATION

The 2nd November, 2023

No. Labour-Lab0MISC/64/2021-5L/1339-1341.–To enable the employees working in the Shops and

Commercial Establishments situated in the State of Punjab, who are voters of Rajasthan, to cast their votes in

General Elections to Legislative Assembly of Rajasthan, it is considered in public interest to declare 25th November,

2023 as a paid holiday within the revenue jurisdiction of the districts adjoining the areas of Rajasthan.

Therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by second proviso to sub- section (1) of Section 10 of

the Punjab Shops and Commercial Establishments Act, 1958 (Punjab Act No. 15 of 1958) and all other powers

enabling him in this behalf, the Governor of Punjab is pleased to fix Saturday, falling on 25th Nov, 2023 to be a

'closed day' for the employees who are voters of Rajasthan working in Shops and Commercial Establishments

in the districts adjoining to the State of Punjab. However, 25th Nov, 2023 (Saturday) shall not be a 'closed day'

in lieu of weekly off falling between 26th Nov, 2023 and 02th Dec, 2023.
