NOTIFICATION

The 20th July, 2023

No.13/46/2020-SH4/1206.-In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (5) of Section 1 of

The Employees’ State Insurance Act 1948, the Government of Punjab, Department of Health & Family Welfare

in consultation with the Employees’ State Insurance Corporation and with the approval of the Central Government

vide letter No. S-38025/07/2020-SS-1 dated 09.06.2021, hereby gives notice of its intention to extend the

provision of the Act to the classes of establishments specified in the schedule annexed hereto, after one month

from the date of publication in the official Gazette.

Any objections or suggestions, which may be received from any person in respect of the said notification

within the period specified above will be considered by the State Government

2.

The objections and suggestions may be addressed to Director, Health Services (ESI).

Municipal bodies including Municipal Corporation (Nagar Nigam),

Municipal Councils, Nagar Palika & Other Urban Local Bodies

run by State Government wherein ten or more persons on casual or

contractual or both, basis are employed, or were employed for wages

on any day of the preceding twelve months.
