NOTIFICATION

The 12th December, 2023

No. SEC/PE(ERO)/SA/2023/7027.–In pursuance of Section 15(1) of the Punjab State Election

Commission Act, 1994 (Punjab Act No. 19 of 1994), the Election Commission hereby designates all the Sub

Divisional Magistrates as Electoral Registration Officers. In case there is no Sub Divisional Magistrate posted

in the Sub Division, then, Tehsildar would be the Electoral Registration Officer. In rare cases where there is no

Sub Divisional Magistrate or a Tehsildar posted in the Sub Division then, in that case a P.C.S Officer posted in

the District will be appointed as Electoral Registration Officer by the concerned Deputy Commissioner for the

purposes of preparation and revision of electoral rolls for the General Elections to Gram Panchayats.
