NOTIFICATION

The 14th December, 2023

No. Labour-Lab0MISC/64/2021-5L/1430-1432.–To enable the employees working in the Shops

and Commercial Establishments situated in the State of Punjab who are voters of Mansa to cast their votes in

Election of Sarpanch of Village Bhamme Kalan, Tehsil Sardulgarh, District Mansa, it is considered in public

interest to declare 24th Dec, 2023 as a paid holiday within the revenue jurisdiction of the districts adjoining the

areas of Mansa.

Therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by second proviso to sub- section (1) of Section 10 of

the Punjab Shops and Commercial Establishments Act, 1958 (Punjab Act No. 15 of 1958) and all other powers

enabling him in this behalf, the Governor of Punjab is pleased to fix Sunday, falling on 24th Dec, 2023 to be a

‘closed day’ for the employees who are voters of Mansa working in Shops and Commercial Establishments in

the districts adjoining to the State of Punjab. However, 24th Dec, 2023 (Sunday) shall not be a ‘closed day’ in

lieu of weekly off falling between 24th Dec, 2023 and 30th Dec, 2023.
