NOTIFICATION

The 21st December, 2023

No. S.O. 92/C.A.22/2005/Ss.5 and 19/2023.- In supersession of

the Government of Punjab, Department of Legal and Legislative Affairs [Punjab

Official Language (Legislative) Commission], Notification No. S.O.92/C.A.22/

2005/Ss.5 and 19/2021, dated the 29th July, 2021, and in exercise of the powers

conferred by sub-section (1) of section 5 of the Right to Information Act, 2005

(Central Act 22 of 2005), Punjab Official Language (Legislative) Commission

in the capacity of public authority, designates Shri Baljit Singh, Superintendent

(Legal), as the State Public Information Officer in so far as this Commission is

concerned to provide information to the persons requesting for the information

under the said Act.

Further in pursuance of the provisions of sub-section (2) of section 5

of the aforesaid Act, this Commission in the capacity of a public authority,

designates Smt. Poonam R. Joshi, Additional Legal Remembrancer and

Additional Secretary to Government of Punjab, as the Appellate Authority to

whom an appeal shall be preferred by a person aggrieved by the decision of

the State Public Information Officer under sub-section (1) of section 19 of the

aforesaid Act.
