ORDER

The 30th January, 2024

No: FD-FE-30MISC/1/2024-4FE3/49.–That Council of Ministers in its meeting held on 24/1/2024

have decided to restore 10.77 lakh beneficiaries under NFSA and mandate has been given by the Department

of Food and Civil Supplies to MARKFED to immediately procure 3000 metric tonnes of Atta per month for the

next three months or the period as extended by the State Government.

Keeping in view the public interest and the immediate need of procurement of atta to further provide it

to the beneficiaries and in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 63 of the Punjab

Transparency in Public Procurement Act 2019(Punjab Act No.12 of 2019) and all other powers enabling him in

this behalf, the Governor of Punjab is pleased to exempt MARKFED from the ambit of Sr.No. 2 (timeline for

submission of bids) of Appendix 1 of Rule 7 of the Punjab Transparency in Public Procurement Rules 2022, and

allows one time relaxation in submission of bids from 30 days to 7 working days in this regard.

Due diligence, fulfilling all legal requirements and adherence to other relevant T&C of Procurement

Act and Rules would be the responsibility of Administrative Department/MARKFED.
