NOTIFICATION

The 7th May, 2024

No.S.O.29/C.A.33/1989/S.14/2024.-In supersession of the

Government of Punjab, Department of Home Affairs and Justice (Judicial-1

Branch), Notification No. S.O. 129/CA.33/1989/S.14/2018, dated the 23rd

August, 2018 and in exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to sub-section

(1) of section 14 of the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of

Atrocities) Act, 1989 (Central Act 33 of 1989), and all other powers enabling

him in this behalf, the Governor of Punjab with the concurrence of Hon'ble the

Chief Justice of the High Court of Punjab and Haryana, is pleased to specify

the court of the Sessions Judge and Additional Sessions Judge-I,II, III, IV and

V in each Sessions Division in the State of Punjab, to be a Special Court to try

offences under the aforesaid Act, within their respective territorial jurisdiction.
