NOTIFICATION

No. Labour-Lab0PSCA/1/2024-2L/530.–Whereas the Bye Elections to Parliamentary Constituencies

and Assembly Constituencies for which poll shall be held in the State, as per letter No. Elec-2024/R-9855 dated

07.11.2024 of Chief Electoral Officer, Punjab and whereas, it is considered necessary to provide opportunity to

those workers who are working in registered Shops and Establishments in the State of Punjab and are enrolled

as voter within the revenue jurisdiction of the constituencies namely 10- Dera Baba Nanak, 44-Chabewal (SC),

84- Gidderbaha and 103-Barnala, to exercise their franchise.

Now, therefore in exercise the power conferred by sub-section 1 of Section 10 of the Shops and

Commercial Establishment Act, 1958 and all other powers enabling him in this behalf, Governor of Punjab is

pleased to exempt those workers who are working in the registered factories situated in the State of Punjab and

are enrolled as voter in the 10- Dera Baba Nanak, 44-Chabewal (SC), 84- Gidderbaha and 103-Barnala, from

the operations of provisions of sub-section 1 of Section 52 of the said act on the date of poll 20thNovember, 2024

(Wednesday).
