NOTIFICATION

The 26th December, 2024

No. S.R.406/87/2024.-In exercise of the powers conferred by article 309 of the Constitution of India

read with Rule 8 of Punjab State Civil Services (Appointment by Combined Competitive Examination) Rules,

2009, the Governor of Punjab is pleased to make the following rules to further amend the Procedure and

Syllabus for Combined Competitive Examination, notified by the Punjab Public Service Commission vide

Notification No. S.R.406/87/2013 dated 3rd January, 2014, namely:-

AMENDMENT

1.

In the said notification, under the heading "Procedure and Scheme for the Preliminary

Examination" after Note (1), a new sub-clause "1(a)" shall be added which reads as "CSAT Exam

to be of qualifying nature, without negative marking with the minimum cut off of 40% marks".

2.

In the said notification, under the heading "Procedure and Scheme for the Main Examination"

after note (6), a new sub-clause "6(a)" shall be added which reads as " History, Culture, Economy

and Geography with special emphasis on Punjab as part of syllabus of General Studies are to be

included in the main examination".
