NOTIFICATION

The 22^nd January, 2025

No. S.O. 6162 /P.A.9/1994/S.98/2025.-Whereas consequent upon the re-delimitation of the Blocks

Malerkotla-1 and Malerkotla-2 in District Malerkotla, new Blocks, namely, Block Ahmedgarh, Amargarh and

Malerkotla (Head Quarter) have been carved out vide Government of Punjab, Department of Rural Development

and Panchayats, Notification No. S.O.143/P.A.9./1994/S.2/2021, dated the 13^th December, 2021.

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-sections (1) and (4) of section 98

of the Punjab Panchayati Raj Act, 1994 (Punjab Act 9 of 1994), and all other powers enabling him in this behalf,

the Governor of Punjab is pleased to direct that the Panchayat Samitis for Blocks Ahmedgarh, Amargarh and

Malerkotla (Head Quarter) in District Malerkotla be constituted from the date of publication of this notification

in the Official Gazette.
