No. PERS-IAS0CFP/2/2020-3-S/51.-In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 15 of the The

Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, (Central Act No. 46 of 2023), the Governor of Punjab is hereby

pleased to authorize the Deputy Commissioners in the State of Punjab to appoint the Gazetted Officers in the

State of Punjab, drawing the pay in Level-16 or above (as per 6th PPC) as an Executive Magistrate to be

known as Special Executive Magistrate for maintenance of law and order with regard to the situation arising

out of critical issues in the State of Punjab, upto 30-06-2025.
