NOTIFICATION

The 14th February, 2025

No. G.S.R. 1/Const./Arts.233 and 309/Amd.(7)/2025.- In exercise

of the powers conferred by Article 233 read with the proviso to Article 309 of

the Constitution of India, and all other powers enabling him in this behalf, the

Governor of Punjab, in consultation with the High Court of Punjab and Haryana,

is pleased to make the following rules further to amend the Punjab Superior

Judicial Service Rules, 2007, namely:-

RULES

(1)

These rules may be called the Punjab Superior Judicial Service

(Amendment) Rules, 2025.

(2)

They shall be deemed to have come into force on the 7th day of

March, 2022.

In the Punjab Superior Judicial Service Rules, 2007 (hereinafter referred

to as the said rules), in rule 8, for the existing proviso the following proviso shall

be substituted, namely:-

“Provided that an officer with an entry of integrity doubtful in any

year shall not be eligible to be considered for promotion”.

In the said rules, in rule 9, for the second proviso, the following proviso

shall be substituted, namely:-

"Provided further that an officer with an entry of integrity doubtful

in any year shall not be eligible to appear in the said examination."
