NOTIFICATION

The 4th February, 2025

No. 05/08/2025-1LG4/81.-The Governor of Punjab, is pleased to appoint the Department of Local

Government, Punjab as the State Level Nodal Agency under PMAY Urban 2.0 in pursuance, of the

implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana - Urban 2.0 (PMAY -U 2.0) for the following

verticals of PMAY (U) 2.0 Mission: -

i.

Beneficiary Led Construction (BLC)

ii.

Affordable Housing in Partnership (AHP) within the Municipal Limits

iii.

Affordable Rental Housing (ARH) within the Municipal Limits

iv.

Interest Subsidy Scheme (ISS) within the Municipal Limits

Department of Housing and Urban Development through the Punjab Urban Development Authority, Shall

remain the nodal implementing agency for :-

i.

Affordable Housing in Partnership (AHP) Outside the Municipal Limits

ii.

Affordable Rental Housing (ARH) Outside the Municipal Limits

iii.

Interest Subsidy Scheme (ISS) Outside the Municipal Limits

Further, the Director, Department of Local Government, Punjab is designated as the Mission

Director, PMAY 2.0 for all the Verticals under PMAY -Urban 2.0 implemented within the Municipal Limits

and Chief Administrator, PUDA, is designated as the Mission Director for the verticals implemented outside

Municipal Limits.

Accordingly, the Members of the State Level Appraisal Committee (SLAC) are nominated as below:-

Livelihood Mission

Functions of State-Level Appraisal Committee (SLAC)

SLAC shall be in charge of the overall implementation of the scheme including the following:

1. Appraisal of DPRs in AHP, ARH, and Project details of BLC along with list of beneficiaries under the

Mission and recommend it for the approval of SLSMC.

2. Appraisal of Annual Quality Monitoring Plans and recommend it for the approval of SLSMC.

3. Reviewing progress of approved projects in the State and cities and place it for the review of SLSMC.

4. Monitoring of overall implementation of the Mission and place it for the review of SLSMC.

5. Appraisal of Annual Capacity Building Plans as per Scheme Guidelines and recommend it for the approval

of SLSMC.

6. Appraisal/Approval of ATRs on TPQMA and social audit and recommend it for the approval of SLSMC.

7. Identification and approval for utilization of Government Land of any department for the construction of

affordable housing under this policy, if land of ULB/ Special Development Authority is not available or

more land is required and recommend it for the approval of SLSMC.

8. Any other issues required for effective implementation of the scheme.
