STATEMENT OF OBJECTS AND REASONS
The SVAMITVA Scheme, known in Punjab as Mera Ghar Mere Naam
Scheme, aims to provide ownership rights to residents of Abadi Deh areas. In
order to speed up the process of implementation of SVAMITVA Scheme in
the State, it is proposed to reduce time limits for filing objections and for decision
of appeals as provided in Section 11 and 12 of the Abadi Deh (Record of
Rights) Act, 2021. It will ensure the timely implementation of the SVAMITVA/
Mera Ghar Mere Naam Scheme.
To give effect to the above objectives, it is proposed to amend the
section 11 and 12 of the Punjab Abadi Deh (Record of Rights) Act, 2021.
