NOTIFICATION

The 14th August, 2026

No.G.S.R. 50/C.A.39/1987/S.29-A/Amd.(11)/2026.- In exercise of

the powers conferred by Section 29-A of the Legal Services Authorities Act,

1987 (Central Act No. 39 of 1987), and all other powers enabling it in this

behalf, the Punjab State Legal Services Authority, makes the following

regulations further to amend the Punjab Legal Services Authority (Transaction

of Business and other Provisions) Regulations, 1998, namely:-

REGULATIONS

1. These regulations may be called the Punjab Legal Services Authority

(Transaction of Business and other Provisions) (Amendment)

Regulations, 2026.

2. In the Punjab Legal Services Authority (Transaction of Business and other

Provisions) Regulations, 1998 (hereinafter referred to as the said

regulations), in regulation 7, in sub-regulation (4), in the proviso, for the

words “five lakh”, the words “ten lakh” shall be substituted.

In the said regulations, in regulation 13, in sub-regulation (3),-

(i) in the first proviso, for the words “Rupees One lakh per month”,

the words “two lakh rupees per month” shall be substituted; and

(ii) in the second proviso, for the words “twenty five thousand

rupees”, the words “fifty thousand rupees” shall be substituted.

NOTIFICATION

The 6th August, 2026

No.S.O.38/C.A.34/2008/S.22/2026.- In supersession of the

Government of Punjab, Department of Home Affairs and Justice notification

no. S.O.141/C.A.34/2008/S.22/2014, dated the 10th June, 2014 and in exercise

of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 22 of the National

Investigation Agency Act, 2008 (Central Act No. 34 of 2008), and all other

powers enabling in this behalf, the Governor of Punjab, with the concurrence

of Hon'ble High Court of Punjab and Haryana, Chandigarh, is pleased to

constitute the Courts of District and Sessions Judge and all the Additional

District and Sessions Judges (for the area falling within their respective

jurisdiction), at each district headquarter in the State, who have more than five

years of experience in conducting Sessions trials, to be the Special Courts, for

the trial of offences as specified in the Schedule appended to the aforesaid

Act, which are investigated by the State Police agencies.
