As per the letter bearing No. BCI:D:2941/2026, dated 13/05/2026, the Bar Council of India directed all
the State Bar Councils to publish/notify the names of the two women candidates in the Official Gazette
(Supplementary), in continuation of the Official Gazette published on dated 6th, 7th and 8th May, 2026 in the
Chandigarh Administration, Haryana Government and Punjab Government respectively, notification bearing
No. BCPH/ Election/ 677 to 692 /2026 dated 05.05.2026
In pursuance of the order dated 04/08/2026 passed by the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India, in Writ
Petition (Civil) No. 581 of 2024, in the matter of Yogamaya M. G. vs. Union of India & Ors., regarding the
nomination of two women candidates. As per the letter bearing No. 215/Spl. Rules/XIII.D.3-9R dated
12.09.2026, received from the Office of the Registrar General, Punjab and Haryana High Court, Chandigarh,
and pursuant order dated 12.9.2026, passed by Hon'ble the Chief Justice of the Punjab and Haryana High
Court, the following members are hereby co-opted/nominated to the Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana.
