NOTIFICATION
The 28 th September, 2026
No. LG-LG-102/24/2026-LG1/559.- In exercise of the powers conferred under sub-section (2) of
section 71 of the Punjab Municipal Corporation Act, 1976 (Punjab Act No.42 of 1976) and all other powers
enabling him in this behalf, the Governor of Punjab is pleased to make the following rules and further to amend
“The Punjab Municipal Corporation Services (Recruitment and Conditions of Service) Rules, 1978” namely:-
RULES
1.
(1) These rules may be called the Punjab Municipal Services (Recruitment and Conditions of
Service) (First) Amendment Rules, 2026.
(2) They shall come into force on and with effect from the date of their publication in the Official
Gazette.
2.
In The Punjab Municipal Corporation Services (Recruitment and Conditions of Service) Rules, 1978,
in Appendix ‘B’ the following Serial No 2 shall be substituted, namely:-
