NOTIFICATION
The 7th October, 2026
No. H-U-11022/19/2026-4H1/I/1523943/2026.- In order to provide relief to the existing industries
operating in residential zones (within and outside MC), of Master Plan, Ludhiana, the Government of
Punjab had exempted such existing industries from the provisions of Section 79 of the Punjab Regional
and Town Planning and Development Act, 1995, for a period of three years commencing from 11.09.2023,
i.e. up to 10.09.2026, subject to compliance with the norms of the Punjab Pollution Control Board (PPCB)
and obtaining a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the PPCB, vide Notification No.08/05/2023-4H1/2208
dated 06.10.2023.
Whereas, it has been observed that the notified Master Plans listed below have either completed or
are likely to complete fifteen years from the date of their respective notifications;
And whereas, in order to provide similar relief to the existing industries operating in the non-
conforming zones of the aforesaid Master Plans, the Governor of Punjab, in exercise of the powers
conferred under Section 178 of the Punjab Regional and Town Planning and Development Act, 1995, and
all other powers enabling him in this behalf, is pleased to exempt the existing industries operating in the
non-conforming zones of the following Master Plans from the provisions of Section 79 of the Punjab
Regional and Town Planning and Development Act, 1995, up to 30.09.2027, subject to compliance with the
norms of the Punjab Pollution Control Board (PPCB) and obtaining a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from
the PPCB: -
