का काय[ 1 अĤैल 2026 से 30 ͧसतàबर 2026 के बीच सभी राÏयɉ और संघ राÏय ¢ेğɉ मɅ Ĥ×येक

राÏय और संघ राÏय ¢ेğ Ùवारा ͪवǓनǑद[çट तीस Ǒदन कȧ अवͬध के दौरान ͩकया जाना है। èव-गणना

के ͧलए ͪवकãप भी उपलÞध होगा जो ͩक तीस Ǒदन कȧ घर-घर जाकर मकानसचीकरण

आरàभ होने से ठȤक पहले पÛġह Ǒदन कȧ समयावͬध मɅ संचाͧलत ͩकया जायेगा।

जनगणना अͬधǓनयम 1948 (1948 का 37) के उपबंधो के अधीन बनाए गए जनगणना Ǔनयम 1990

के Ǔनयम 8 के उपǓनयम (3) के अधीन Ĥदƣ शिÈतयɉ का Ĥयोग करते हएु राÏय सरकार ने यह

Ǔनण[य ͧलया है ͩक राÏय मɅ भारत कȧ जनगणना 2027 के Ĥथम चरण अथा[त मकान सचीकरण

काय[ Ǒदनांक 16 मई 2026 से 14 जनू 2026 के मÚय मɅ सàपन करवाया जाएगा। èव-गणना के ͧलए

ͪवकãप भी 1 मई 2026 से 15 मई 2026 कȧ समयावͬध मɅ संचाͧलत ͩकया जायेगा।

No. F.5(2)COI/Coord/DES/2020 :-In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 3

and Section 17 of the Census Act, 1948 (37 of 1948), read with Rule 6(a) and Rule 6(d) of the

Census Rules, 1990, the Central Government hereby notifies that the work relating to House

listing operations of the Census of India 2027 shall be conducted in all States and Union

Territories between 1^stApril, 2026 and 30^th September, 2026, during a period of thirty days as

specified by each State and Union Territory. An option for self-enumeration shall also be made

available, which shall be operational for a period of fifteen days, commencing thirty days prior

to the start of the house-to-house House listing and Housing Census work.

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-rule (3) of Rule 8 of the Census Rules,

1990, made under the provisions of the Census Act, 1948 (37 of 1948), the State Government

has decided that the work of the first phase of Census of India 2027, i.e., the House listing and

Housing Census, in the State shall be conducted from 16^th May, 2026 to 14^th June, 2026. The

option for self-enumeration shall be operational from 1^st May, 2026 to 15^th May, 2026.
