S.O.42 .-In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section
3 of the Rajasthan Motor Vehicles Taxation Act, 1951 (Act No. 11 of 1951) and
in
supersession
of
this
department's
notification
number
F.6(328)/Pari/Tax/Hqrs/2021/17882 Dated 05.08.2022, as amended from time
to time, the State Government hereby, with immediate effect, specifies the rate
of concession on the Tax payable under section 4 of the said Act, in case the
vehicle is registered for the first time against submission of Certificate of
Deposit in the State, namely:-
(i)
Twenty six percent, in case of non-transport vehicles; and
(ii)
Sixteen percent, in case of transport vehicles:
Provided that,-
(1) the maximum limit of the total concession to a vehicle shall be Rs.
1,00,000/- ;
(2) such new vehicle shall be purchased from any authorised dealer in
Rajasthan only;
(3) this concession shall be available upto eight years, in case of transport
vehicles paying Motor Vehicle Tax. In case where One Time Tax is
payable in respect of transport and non-transport vehicles, this concession
shall be applicable at the time of first registration only and the validity of
One Time Tax paid shall be according to the Rajasthan Motor Vehicles
Taxation Act, 1951 and rules made thereunder;
(4) this concession shall be available only against the Certificate of Deposit
issued by the Registered Vehicle Scrapping Facility situated in the state
of Rajasthan and to such vehicle buyers of state who have obtained
Certificate of Deposit by scrapping their old vehicle registered in his own
name in the state of Rajasthan at any Registered Vehicle Scrapping
Facility located in India.
Explanation: 1. For the purpose of this rule, these periods shall be reckoned
from the date of first registration in both cases.
