IMPOSING UNIFORM FISHING BAN IN EAST AND WEST COAST OF TAMIL NADU FROM THE
YEAR 2017 UNDER THE TAMIL NADU MARINE FISHING REGULATION ACT, 1983.
AMENDMENT TO NOTIFICATION

In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (a) of sub-section (1) of Section 5 and clause (b) of
sub-section (2) of Section 5 of the Tamil Nadu Marine Fishing Regulation Act, 1983 (Tamil Nadu Act 8
of 1983), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby makes the following amendments to the Animal Husbandry,
Dairying and Fisheries Department, Notifi cation No.II(2)/AHDF/419/2017, published at Pages 464 and 465 of
Part II—Section 2 of the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette, dated the 24th May 2017 as subsequently amended.

In the said Notifi cation, for Serial Number 2 and the corresponding entries relating thereto, the following
entries shall respectively be substituted :-
East Coast
2. From Tiruvallur District to Kanniyakumari
Town in Kanniyakumari District.
15th April to 14th June (both days inclusive –
61 days);
West Coast
From Kanniyakumari to Neerodi in
Kanniyakumari District.
1st June to 31st July (both days inclusive –
61 days).
