No.I/EF/19/2018.—The following Notification of the

Government of India, Ministry of Environment, Forest and

Climate Change, New Delhi, dated 20th March 2018 is

republished:—

In exercise of the provisions conferred by Rule 8 of the

Indian Forest Service (Recruitment) Rules, 1966, read with

sub-regulations (1) of Regulation 9 of the Indian Forest Service

(Appointment by Promotion) Regulation, 1966, the President

is pleased to appoint with immediate effect the following

01 (One) officer of the State Forest Service of Tamil Nadu to

the Indian Forest Service on the basis of inclusion of his name

in the Select List for the year 2000 by the Review Selection

Committee in its meeting held on 24-10-2017, and to allocate

him to Tamil Nadu Cadre of the Indian Forest Service under

sub-rule (1) of Rule 5 of the Indian Forest Service (Cadre)

Rules, 1966.

Court of Judicature at Madras in Writ Petition

No.3841/2016 filed by Shri. K. Sankaralingam

whereby Hon'ble Court directed Respondent No.3

and 4 to forward the papers to the first respondent

for convening a Review Promotion Committee

Meeting to review the Select List of the year

2000 and consider the case of the petitioner for

promotion to the Indian Forest Service.
