No. II(2)/HE/490/2018.—In the matter of the Charitable
Endowments Act, 1890 (Central Act VI of 1890) and in the
matter of "Dr. Amirthavalli Raghupathy Charitable Endowment
Fund "(hereafter referred to as "the said Endowment")
tenable in the Presidency College, Chennai.
I. VESTING OF PROPERTIES
WHEREAS, an application has been made to the
Government of Tamil Nadu under clause (b) of
sub-section (1) of Section 6 of the Charitable Endowments
Act, 1890 (Central Act VI of 1890) by N.K. Raghupathy,
I.A.S., (Retired), 30, Coastal Road, Besant Nagar, Chennai-
600 090 the donor of the said Endowment for vesting the
property, specified in the Schedule below, in the Treasurer
of Charitable Endowments, Chennai, appointed under Section
3 of the said Act for the State of Tamil Nadu, the Governor
of Tamil Nadu, in exercise of the powers conferred by
Section 4 of the said Act, hereby orders that the said
property be vested in the Treasurer aforesaid, and be
held by him and his successors- in- office, subject to the
provisions of the said Act and the rules, which from time to
time, may be or shall be made or deemed to have been
made thereunder and subject to the conditions setforth in
the Scheme settled under Section 5 of the said Act, for
the administration of the said Endowment.
THE SCHEDULE.

Rs. 1,00,000/- (Rupees One Lakh Only).
II. Scheme For Administration
WHEREAS, an application has been made to
the Government of Tamil Nadu under clause (b) of
sub-section (1) of Section 6 of the Charitable Endowments
Act, 1890 (Central Act VI of 1890) by N.K.Raghupathy,
I.A.S.,(Retired), 30, Coastal Road, Besant Nagar, Chennai-
600 090, the donor of the said Endowment specified
above, for settling a scheme for administration of the said
Endowment, the Governor of Tamil Nadu, in exercise of the
powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 5 of the said
Act, hereby settles the Scheme set forth in the Schedule
below, for the administration of the said Endowment and
appoints the Endowment Committee Presidency College,
Chennai to administer the property. The Scheme shall come
into operation from the date of publication of this Notification
in the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette.
The Schedule
(1) The Fund shall be called "Dr.Amirthavalli Raghupathy
Charitable Endowment Fund" tenable in Presidency
College,Chennai- 600 005.
(2) The Fund shall be administered by the Endowment
Committee, Presidency College,Chennai-600 005.
(3) From and out of the annual interest accruing on
the Fund, the prizes shall be given to the top
Ranker of Bachelor of Science, Chemistry students
of Presidency College,Chennai-600 005.
(4) If more than one student securing the same marks,
the prizes shall be equally distributed among them.
(5) The mode by which the interest amount shall be
given to the students may be specified by the
administration.
(6) The unutilized amount of the interest shall be added
to the corpus of the Fund.
(7) The decision of the administrator shall be final in
all matters relating to the administration of the Fund.
(8) The amount of the said Fund shall be invested in
Government Securities.

No.II(2)/HWMP/491/2018.—The Governor of
Tamil Nadu having been satisfied that the lands specified
in the schedule below have to be acquired for highways
purpose, to wit for formation of By-Pass road to Namakkal
Town at Namakkal District and it having already been
decided that the entire amount of compensation to be
awarded for the lands is to be paid out of the funds
controlled or managed by the Chief Engineer (NABARD
& Rural Roads), Highways Department, Chennai-25 and
after having considered the cause shown by the owners
or other persons having interest in the said lands as the
case may be do hereby publish, the following notice under
Sub-section (1) of Section 15 of the Tamil Nadu Highways

No.II(2)/HWMP/493/2018.—The Governor of Tamil Nadu
having been satisfied that the lands specified in the schedule
below have to be acquired for highways purpose, to wit for
the formation of link road connecting Thiruporur and Nemelli
comprehensive road infrastructure development programme
2011-2012 (CRIDP) and it have already been decided that
the entire amount of compensation to be awarded for the
lands is to be paid out of the funds controlled or managed
by The Chief Engineer (General), Highways Department, and
having considered the cause shown by the owners or other
persons having interest the said lands as the case may be
do hereby published the following notice under sub-section
(1) of Section 15 of the Tamil Nadu Highways Act, 2001.
(Tamil Nadu Act 34 of 2002).
NOTICE
Under sub-section (1) of Section 15 of the
Tamil Nadu Highways Act 2001 (Tamil Nadu Act 34 of
2002), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby acquired the
lands specified in the Schedule below and measuring an
extent of 10942 Sq.metrs to the same, a little more or
less are needed for Highways purpose, to wit, for the
formation of link road connecting Thiruporur and Nemelli
comprehensive road infrastructure development programme
2011-2012 (CRIDP)
The Plan of the lands are kept in the office of
Special Tahsildar, Land Acquisition, I.T. Corridor Express
Way Scheme, Tambaram and may be inspected at any
time during office hours.

Tamil Nadu having been satisfied that the lands specified
in the Schedule below are acquired for Highways purpose
to wit for Major Junction improvement in State Highways
Road (SH-37) Ottanchatram – Dharapuram - Tiruppur Road
from KM 37/400 to KM 126/200 in Nelali Village and
Dharapuram Municipality, Dharapuram and Kangeyam Taluks
in Tiruppur District and it having already been decided
that the entire amount of compensation to be awarded for
the lands is to be paid out of the funds controlled and
managed by Divisional Engineer (Highways) Tamil Nadu
Road Sector Project-II, Tiruppur and after having considered
the cause shown by the owner or other persons having
interest on such lands as the case may be, do hereby
publish the following notice under sub-section (1) of Section
15 of the Tamil Nadu Highways Act, 2001 (Tamil Nadu
Act, 34 of 2002).
NOTICE
Under sub-section (1) of Section 15 of the
Tamil Nadu Highways Act, 2001 (Tamil Nadu Act 34 of
2002), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby acquires the dry
and Rayathu manai lands specified in the Schedule below
and measuring to an extent of 448 Square Metres for
purpose of major Junction improvement in State Highways
Road, (SH-37) Ottanchatram – Dharapuram - Tiruppur
Road from KM 37/400 to KM 126/200 in Nelali Village
and Dharapuram Municipality, Dharapuram and Kangeyam
Taluks in Tiruppur District.
The plan of the lands under acquisition are kept in
the office of the Special District Revenue Officer (Land
Acquisition), Tamil Nadu Road Sector Project-II, Salem
and Special Tahsildar (L.A), Tamil Nadu Road Sector
Project-II, iruppur and may be inspected at any time during
office hours.

Subordinate Judges to be appointed under the said Act for
Sivagangai District as three with effect on and from the
date on which the Subordinate Judges Assumes charge of

conferred by section 87 read with section 91A of the
Employees' State Insurance Act, 1948 (Central Act XXXIV
of 1948), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby exempts the
M/s. MSP and Sons Beedi Manufactures, Tirunelveli from
the operation of the said Act for the period of one year
from 22-05-2017 to 21-05-2018.
(1) The above exemption is subject to the following
conditions, namely:-
(a) The aforesaid Management wherein the
employees are employed shall maintain a Register showing
the names and designations of the exempted employees.
(b) Not withstanding the exemption, the employees
shall continue to receive such benefits under the said Act
to which they might have become entitled to on the basis
of the contributions paid prior to the date from which
exemption granted by this Notification operates.
(c) The contribution for the exempted period, if
already paid shall not be refunded.
(2) The employer of the said management shall submit
in respect of the period during which that management
was subject to the operation of the said Act (hereinafter
referred to as "the said period") returns, in such form and
containing such particulars as were due from it in respect
of the said period under the Employees State Insurance
(General) Regulations, 1950.
(3) Any Social Security Officer appointed by the
Corporation under sub- section (1)' of Section 45 of the
said Act, or other official authorised in this behalf shall,
for the purpose of,-
(i) verifying the particulars contained in any return
submitted under sub-section (1) of Section 44 of the said
Act for the said period; or
(ii) ascertaining whether registers and records were
maintained as required by the Employees State Insurance
(General) Regulations, 1950 for the said period; or
(iii) ascertaining whether the employees continue
to be entitled to the benefits provided by the employer in
cash and in kind, being benefits in consideration of which
exemption is being granted under this Notification; or
(iv) ascertaining whether any of the provisions
of the said Act had been complied with during the period
when such provisions were in force in relation to the said
workshops and stores be empowered to,-
(a) require the principal or immediate employer to furnish
to him such information as he may consider necessary; or
(b) enter any management, office or other premises
occupied by such principal or immediate employer at any
reasonable time and require any person found in charge
thereof to produce to such Social Security Officer or other
official and allow him to examine such documents, books
and other documents relating to the employment of persons
and payment of wages or to furnish to him such information
as he may consider necessary; or
(c) examine the principal or immediate employer, his
agent or servant, or any person found in such management
office or other premises, or any person when the said Social
Security Officer or other official has reasonable cause to
believe to have been an employee; or
(d) make copies of or take extracts from any register,
account book or other document maintained in such
management office or other premises.
