DATE OF COMING INTO FORCE OF THE TAMIL NADU MARINE FISHING REGULATION

(AMENDMENT) AMENDMENT ACT, 2017

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section(2) of Section 1 of the Tamil Nadu

Marine Fishing Regulation (Amendment) Act, 2016 (Tamil Nadu Act 18 of 2017), the Governor of

Tamil Nadu hereby appoints the 14th day of June 2018, as the date on which clause (5) of

Section 3 in so far as it relates to the defi nition of the term "mechanized fi shing vessel" and

clause (1) of Section 5 of the Act, as amended by the Tamil Nadu Marine Fishing Regulation

(Amendment) Amendment Act, 2017 (Tamil Nadu Act 31 of 2017) shall come into force.
