APPOINTMENT OF COMMISSION OF INQUIRY TO INQUIRE INTO THE CAUSES AND CIRCUMSTANCES

LEADING TO THE OPENING OF FIRE RESULTING IN DEATH AND INJURIES TO PERSONS ON

22ND MAY 2018 AT THOOTHUKUDI UNDER THE COMMISSIONS OF INQUIRY ACT.

AMENDMENT TO NOTIFICATION

No. II(2)/PULO/591(a)/2018.

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 3 of the Commissions of lnquiry Act,

I952 (Central Act LX of 1952), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby makes the following amendment to the

Public (Law & Order.F) Department Notifi cation No.II(2)/PULO/481(c)/2018, published at pages 1-2 of

Part Il-Section 2 of the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette Extraordinary, dated the 23rd May 2018:-

AMENDMENT

In the said Notifi cation, in paragraph 3, in the terms of reference, for item (i) the following item shall be

substituted, namely :-

"(i) To inquire into the causes and circumstances leading to the opening of fi re resulting in death

and injuries to persons on 22.05.2018 and subsequent events at Thoothukudi and nearby areas,

arising out of law and order disturbances including damage to public and private properties".
