The Government of Tamil Nadu announce with profound regret, the demise of

the former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Thiru M. Karunanidhi, at 18.10 Hrs on 07-08-2018.

2. He had the distinction of holding the office of Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, five times since

1969. He was a Champion of social justice. The demise of the former Chief Minister of

Tamil Nadu, Thiru M. Karunanidhi, is an irreparable loss to the people of Tamil Nadu.
