Endowments Act, 1890 (Central Act VI of 1890) and in the

matter of "The Agasteeswaram R. Kurupandian Charitable

Endowment Fund" (hereafter referred to as "the said

Endowment"), tenable in the Government Arts College,

Melur, Madurai-625 106.

I. VESTING OF PROPERTIES.

WHEREAS, an application has been made to

the Government of Tamil Nadu under clause (b) of

sub-section (1) of Section 6 of the Charitable Endowments

Act, 1890 (Central Act VI of 1890) by Prof. K. Muthupandian,

Plot No.7, Aswini Cross Street, Duraisamy Nagar, Madurai-

625 010, the donor of the said Endowment for vesting the

property specified in the Schedule below, in the Treasurer of

Charitable Endowments, Chennai, appointed under Section 3

of the said Act for the State of Tamil Nadu, the Governor of

Tamil Nadu, in exercise of the powers conferred by Section

4 of the said Act, hereby orders that the said property be

vested in the Treasurer aforesaid, and be held by him and

his successors in office, subject to the provisions of the

said Act and the Rules, which from time to time, may be

or shall be made or deemed to have been made thereunder

and subject to the conditions setforth in the Scheme settled

II. SCHEME FOR ADMINISTRATION.

WHEREAS, an application has been made to the

Government of Tamil Nadu under clause (b) of sub-section

(1) of Section 6 of the Charitable Endowments Act, 1890

(Central Act VI of 1890) by Prof. K. Muthupandian, Plot

No.7, Aswini Cross Street, Duraisamy Nagar, Madurai-

625 010, the donor of the said Endowment specified

above, for settling a scheme for Administration of the said

Endowment, the Governor of Tamil Nadu, in exercise of

the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 5 of

the said Act, hereby settles the Scheme setforth in the

Schedule below for the Administration of the said Endowment

and appoints the Endowment Committee of Government

Arts College, Melur, Madurai-625 106 to Administer the

property. The Scheme shall come into operation from the

date of publication of this Notification in the Tamil Nadu

Government Gazette.

The Schedule.

(1) The Fund shall be called the “The Agasteeswaram

R. Kurupandian Charitable Endowment Fund” at Government

Arts College, Melur, Madurai- 625 106.

(2) The

Fund

shall

administered

the

Endowment Committee, Government Arts College, Melur,

Madurai-625 106.

(3) From and out of the annual interest accruing on

the Fund, the prize shall be given to the top ranker of

B.Sc Mathematics Degree Course among the current batch

students who completed the course at Government Arts

College, Melur, Madurai-625 106.

If more than one student securing the same marks,

the prize shall be equally distributed among them.

(5) The mode by which the interest amount shall be

given to the. student may be specified by the administration.

(6) The unutilized amount of the interest may be added

to the corpus of the Fund.

(7) The decision of the administrator will be final, in

all matters relating to the administration of the said fund.

(8) The amount of the said Fund shall be vested and

reinvested in Government securities.

Fund” (hereafter referred to as “the said Endowment”) tenable

in the Presidency College, Chennai District.
