Amendment to the Tamil Nadu Contract Labour (Regulation and Abolition) Rules.

[G.O. Ms. No. 143, Labour and Employment (H1), 25th October 2018, äŠðC 8, M÷‹H, F¼õœÀõ˜ Ý‡´-2049].

No. SRO A-60/2018.—In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 35 of the Tamil Nadu Contract Labour (Regulation

and Abolition) Act, 1970 (Central Act 37 of 1970), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby makes the following amendment to the

Tamil Nadu Contract Labour (Regulation and Abolition) Rules, 1975, the draft of the same having been previously published

as required under sub-section (1) of Section 35 of the said Act, namely:-

In the said Rules,after the proviso to sub-rule (2),of rule 82, the following proviso shall be added, namely:-

“Provided further that no annual return in Form No. XXV need be sent by the Principal employer, if-

(a) a combined annual return in Form No. XIII as required in rule 42 of the Tamil Nadu Catering Establishments

Rules, 1959 is furnished; or

(b) a combined annual return in Form No. XII as required in sub-rule (ii) of rule 35 of the Tamil Nadu Beedi

and Cigar Workers (Conditions of Employment) Rules, 1968 is furnished; or

Rules, 1955 is furnished; or

(d) a combined annual return in Form No. XIX as required in rule 43 of the Tamil Nadu Motor Transport

Workers' Rules, 1965 is furnished.”.

Amendment to the Tamil Nadu Maternity Benefit Rules.

[G.O. Ms. No. 158, Labour and Employment (H2),8th November 2018, äŠðC 22, M÷‹H, F¼õœÀõ˜ Ý‡´-2049].

No. SRO A-61/2018.—In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 28 of the Maternity Benefit Act, 1961

(Central Act 53 of 1961), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby makes the following amendment to the Tamil Nadu Maternity

Benefit Rules, 1967, the draft of the same having been previously published as required under sub-section (1) of Section

28 of the said Act.

In the said Rules, in rule 16, in sub-rule (1), after the proviso the following proviso, shall be added, namely:-

“Provided further that no annual return in Form K need be sent by an employer, if-

(a) a combined annual return in Form No. XIII as required in rule 42 of the Tamil Nadu Catering Establishments

Rules, 1959 is furnished; or

(b) a combined annual return in Form No. XII as required in sub-rule (ii) of rule 35 of the Tamil Nadu Beedi and

Cigar Workers (Conditions of Employment) Rules, 1968 is furnished; or

Labour Rules, 1955 is furnished; or

(d) a combined annual return in Form No. XIX as required in rule 43 of the Tamil Nadu Motor Transport Workers'

Rules, 1965 is furnished.”.

Amendments to the Tamil Nadu Legislators’ (Medical Attendance and Treatment to Former Members) Rules.

[G.O. Ms. No. 878, Public (Establishment.I& Legislature), 13th November 2018,

äŠðC 27, M÷‹H, F¼õœÀõ˜ Ý‡´-2049].

No. SRO A-62/2018.—In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 14 read with sub-Section (4) of Section 12 of the

Tamil Nadu Payment of Salaries Act, 1951 (Tamil Nadu Act XX of 1951), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby makes the

following amendments to the Tamil Nadu Legislators' (Medical Attendance and Treatment to Former Members) Rules, 1982.

2. The amendments hereby made shall be deemed to have come into force on the 1st July 2018.

In the said Rules,—

(1) in rule 3, in the first proviso, for the expression "Rs.25,000/- (Rupees Twenty five thousand only)", the expression

"Rs.30,000/- (Rupees Thirty thousand only)" shall be substituted;

(2) in the APPENDIX, in Certificate under Form 'C', for the expression "Rs.25,000/- (Rupees Twenty five thousand

only)", the expression "Rs.30,000/- (Rupees Thirty thousand only) "shall be substituted.
