JUDICIAL NOTIFICATIONS

Amendments to Contempt of Court Rules, High Court, Madras, 1975.

In exercise of powers conferred on the High Court under Articles 215 and 225 of the Constitution of India,

Section 23 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 and all other powers hereunto enabling, the High Court makes the

following amendments in the Contempt of Court Rules, High Court, Madras, 1975 to regulate proceedings for Contempt

of the High Court.

Aඕඍඖඌඕඍඖග

I. In Rule 3, after the words "First Assistant Registrar (Original Side)'' the following words shall be inserted namely:-

"in the Principal Bench or the Assistant Registrar (Writs) in the Madurai Bench, as the case may be".

II. In Rule 11, after the words "First Assistant Registrar (Original Side)'' the following words shall be inserted namely:-

"in the Principal Bench / Assistant Registrar, Writs Madurai Bench, as the case may be".
