In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 9 of the Manoeuvres, Field Firing and Artillery

Practice Act, 1938 (Central Act V of 1938), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby defi nes the area specifi ed in the

Schedule below, as an area within which, for a term of six years commencing on and from the 1st January 2019 and

ending with the 31st December 2024, the carrying out periodically of fi eld fi ring and artillery practice may be authorised.

Under sub-section (3) of Section 9 of the Manoeuvres, Field Firing and Artillery Practice Act, 1938 (Central Act V of 1938),

the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby gives notice of his intention to issue, on or after the expiry of two months from

the date of the fi rst publication of this Notice in the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette, a Notifi cation under sub-section

(2) of the said Section, authorising the carrying out of fi eld fi ring and artillery practice throughout the area specifi ed in

the Schedule below, during the period specifi ed in column (7) thereof.
