Amendment to the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission Regulations, 1954.

No. SRO B-8/2019.— In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to clause (3) of Article 320 of the Constitution

of India, the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby makes the following amendment to the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission

Regulations, 1954 (Volume-I of the Tamil Nadu Services Manual, 1987).

2. The amendment hereby made shall be deemed to have come into force on 2nd November 2017.

In the said Regulations, in Part III, in regulation 16, in clause (c), after the fourth proviso, the following proviso shall be

added, namely:-

"Provided also that in the case of appointment subsequent to 2nd November 2017, to the category of Assistant Section

Offi cer in the Departments of Secretariat other than the Law and Finance Departments and the Governor's Secretariat in the

Tamil Nadu Secretariat Service by recruitment by transfer from among the holders of the Post of Assistant in the Tamil Nadu

Ministerial Service or the Tamil Nadu Judicial Ministerial Service, the Commission shall be consulted".
