Amendments to the tamil nadu admission in engineering institutions rules, 2007.

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 10 of the Tamil Nadu Admission in

Professional Educational Institutions Act, 2006 (Tamil Nadu Act 3 of 2007), the Governor of Tamil Nadu

hereby makes the following amendments to the Tamil Nadu Admission in Engineering Institutions Rules, 2007,

namely:-

Amendments

In the said Rules.-

(1) in rule 3, for the expression “ Anna University, Chennai”, the expression “Commissioner / Director of

Technical Education, Chennai” shall be substituted;

(2) after rule 7, the following rule shall be added, namely:-

“8. Powers of Authority.- The Commissioner/Director of Technical Education may utilize the services of any

State University including Anna University and Annamalai University and the Tamil Nadu State Council for

Technical Education (TANSCTE) for conducting Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA)”.
