The following Act of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly received the

assent of the President on the 1st June 2019 and is hereby published

for general information:—

ACT No. 19 OF 2019

An Act further to amend the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947, in

its application to the State of Tamil Nadu.

Bඍ it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of the State of

Tamil Nadu in the Sixty-ninth Year of the Republic of India as

follows:--

1. (1) This Act may be called the Industrial Disputes

(Tamil Nadu Amendment) Act, 2019.

Short title, extent and

commencement.

(2) It extends to the whole of the State of Tamil Nadu.

(3) It shall come into force at once.

Central Act XIV of

1947.

2. In section 11-B of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947, for the

expression “award”, the expression “award and order” shall be

substituted.

Amendment of

section 11-B.
