BIENNIAL ELECTIONS TO THE COUNCIL OF STATES To FILL VACANCIES OF MEMBERS

RETIRING DURING JULY, 2019member in that House by the seat of No.12, Perambur Assembly Constituency having

been declared vacant.

The following Notification of the Government of India, Ministry of Law and Justice, Legislative Department, New Delhi,

dated 1st July, 2019 [Ashadha 10, 1941 (Saka)] is republished:-

S.O. ….... (E).––In pursuance of Section 12 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951), the President

is pleased to call upon the elected members of the Legislative Assembly of the State of Tamil Nadu to elect, in accordance

with the provisions of the said Act and of the rules and orders made thereunder, six (6) members for the purpose of filling

the seats of six (6) members of the Council of States whose term of office is due to expire on the 24-07-2019 on the

expiration of their term of office.
