DELEGATION OF POWERS TO THE COMMISSIONER OF AVADI CITY MUNICIPAL CORPORATION FOR

DELIMITATION OF DIVISIONS AND RESERVATION OF SEATS for the scheduled castes,

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 50-A of the Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation Act, 1981

(Tamil Nadu Act 25 of 1981) read with section 8 of the Avadi City Municipal Corporation Act, 2019

(Tamil Nadu Act 24 of 2019), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby directs that the powers exercisable by the

Government under sub-sections (4), (5) and (6) of section 5 of the said Tamil Nadu Act 24 of 2019 and

section 51 of the said Tamil Nadu Act 25 of 1981, in respect of the Corporation of Avadi, be exercisable

by the Commissioner, Corporation of Avadi, also.
