the said Act in respect of issue of insurance Policies by

Governor

Tamil Nadu is satisfi ed that public interest requires that
the "Automobile Manufacturing Industry" should be declared
as public utility service for the purposes of the Industrial
Disputes Act, 1947 (Central Act XIV of 1947);
NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred
by sub-clause (vi) of clause (n) of Section 2 of the said Act,
the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby declares the "Automobile
Manufacturing Industry" to be a public utility service for the
purposes of the said Act for a period of six months with
eff ect on and from the date of publication of this Notifi cation
in the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette.
