In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 25 of the Protection of

Human Rights Act, 1993 [Central Act No.10 of 1994], the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby

authorises Thiru. D.Jayachandran, District Judge (Retd), Member, State Human Rights Commission,

Tamil Nadu to act as the Chairperson of the Commission until the appointment of a new Chairperson

to the Commission.
